The challenge
The cooperative serves members who save, buy on instalments, pawn, and sell gold back. Prices used to be announced by hand, requests arrived over chat, and records were spread across ledgers and spreadsheets. The board struggled to confirm that every transaction had been checked, and members could not see their own gold balance.
Our solution
We built one platform that combines the public website with the internal system. The board updates the gold price once and it appears on the website, the simulator, and every dashboard. Each request from a member or admin goes into an approval queue that only the board can approve, with a record of who approved it and when. Balances, instalments, and reports are calculated from approved transactions.
What we built
Daily gold prices
Buy prices per weight from 0.5 to 100 grams, with the change against the previous day.
Catalogue & orders
A gold bar catalogue with stock levels, a shopping cart, and orders forwarded to the admins on WhatsApp.
Instalment & buyback simulator
An interactive calculator for cash purchases, instalments with a down payment, and buyback estimates.
Approval workflow
Transactions, savings, instalments, pawn loans, and product orders wait for board approval, with an approval trail.
PDF & thermal invoices
Letterhead invoices as one-page A4 PDFs, plus an 80 mm thermal print version for the counter.
Statistics & reports
Balance and transaction charts, reports by period, and Excel export for bookkeeping.
Data security
Row Level Security in the database, role-based access, an activity log, and payment-proof uploads that require sign-in.
No-code content
All landing page copy, products, testimonials, FAQs, and building photos can be edited by the board from Settings.
